You Met Me

Well…

You found the personal side. I'm Roosevelt. I live in Salt Lake City, but staying in one place has never really been my thing. You'll usually find me training, driving somewhere, discovering another place to eat, building something on a computer, finding new music, or saying yes to something that sounded interesting five minutes ago. I like people with stories. I like conversations that accidentally last two hours. And I think the best nights are usually the ones nobody planned perfectly. So yeah— nice meeting you.

The Quick Version

6'0"
Because apparently people ask.
SLC
Home base.
Muay Thai
I'd rather hit a heavy bag than a treadmill.
Lifting
Currently building. Literally.
Developer
I make ideas clickable.
Driving
I've probably seen more of Utah from behind a windshield than I should admit.
Food
The later it gets, the more serious this category becomes.
Music
My playlist has commitment issues.

Life Lately

No carefully manufactured highlight reel. Just things I'm actually into.

Training

Muay Thai. Lifting. Conditioning. Getting a little better than yesterday. There's something satisfying about doing something today that would've smoked you six months ago.

After Dark

I like cities differently at night. Different people. Different conversations. Different energy. Sometimes you find a place worth coming back to. Sometimes you find people worth coming back for.

Food Missions

I'm not calling myself a foodie. But tell me there's somewhere I absolutely need to try and there's a disturbingly high chance I'll end up there. Bonus points if it's open late.

Music

My playlists make absolutely no attempt at genre consistency. If it sounds good, it stays. That's basically the entire system.

Random Directions

Some people need an itinerary. I'm perfectly capable of getting in the car first and figuring out why afterward. Utah makes that habit dangerously easy.

Building Things

Sometimes I disappear into a computer because I had an idea. Websites. Apps. Experiments. Things that probably started with: "Wait… what if?"

Pick Your Rabbit Hole

You don't need my autobiography. Pick something.

Why I Fight

There's something incredibly simple about Muay Thai. You show up. You work. You get tired. You improve. No shortcuts. No pretending.

SLC After Dark

Bars. Music. Late-night food. Random conversations. Places that somehow become your place after enough nights. My evolving map of Salt Lake after everyone sensible went home.

The 1AM List

The question isn't "should we eat?" The question is "where?" These are the places currently worth the detour.

Current Rotation

Songs I've played an irresponsible number of times lately. Proceed accordingly.

Pick a Direction

Sometimes the destination is the least interesting part. Utah drives. Random stops. Places worth disappearing to for a few hours.

What I'm Building

Whatever currently has my attention. Websites. Apps. Experiments. Possibly something unnecessarily ambitious.

We'd Probably Get Along If…

  • You can laugh at yourself.
  • You have something you're genuinely excited about.
  • You'll try somewhere new without needing seventeen Yelp reviews first.
  • You can handle a little competition.
  • You have music you absolutely insist I need to hear.
  • You can turn a completely normal night into a story.

And you're willing to occasionally answer:

"You wanna go?" with: "Where?"

instead of: "Why?"

Pick Something

If we met and you're still lurking down here… you might as well contribute. 👀

Food Mission

Find somewhere neither of us has tried.

Karaoke

Talent optional. Commitment mandatory.

Something Competitive

Winner becomes unbearable for approximately 24 hours.

Night Adventure

Start somewhere. See where we end up.

Trade Music

Give me one song that explains your taste. I'll give you one back.

Your Idea

I'm listening.

Currently

Getting stronger and seeing how far I can push myself.

Whatever has survived repeat mode this week.
Building
Probably something that started as a small idea and got completely out of hand.

Salt Lake City, Utah, and whatever happens to be down the next road.
Looking For
Good people. Good conversations. Reasons not to go home yet.
